Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he has accepted his Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson's recent criticism of him.
The United boss publically condemned the Portuguese ace after he twice gave the ball away in two different games against Aston Villa and Porto to damaging consequences.
On both occasions United were punished as the two teams broke away to score with Ronaldo preferring to loosely claim for a foul rather than try and atone for his error and track back.
The Scot indicated that he had also had a quiet word with the current World Player of the Year over his petulant appeals for free-kicks and it seems the winger has taken note.
Ronaldo was the match-winner as the holders knocked out Porto at Estadio do Dragao 1-0 in their midweek UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie thanks to a blistering 40-yard strike from the former Sporting Lisbon ace.
"It is not a problem," Ronaldo, who started United's 2-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday on the bench, said.
"I always respect the manager and coaches because I want to learn. If he says that, it is because he thinks it is true.
"But I think I have been playing well and I have scored a few important goals."
The Portugal international firmly believes that United can use Wednesday's performance to kick-start their bid to better last season's trophy haul.
"We have an opportunity to win everything and we are very confident that we can," he added.
"We did not play fantastic in the last five or six games but we expect the next ones will be better because of what we did last night."
