VS
Manchester United vs Aston Villa
This is beginning to look very difficult... With Rooney, Vidic and Scholes sitting out of this, there is also injury problems to Anderson, Berbetov and maybe even Rio. And I wonder how Tevez and Park will do after travelling across the world to play for their respective countries...
If we lose this........... We're screwed
I dun think Man Utd will lost this game after Villa has lost many of their matches
so much pressure now... but still without vidic and rooney right?? siao la..
both teams going through a slump.
people in Man U are called red devils..
Are people in Aston villa called villians?
Rio Ferdinand looks likely to give Manchester United a boost by declaring himself fit for the Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Sunday.
Ferdinand was taken off just before the end of England's victory over the Ukraine at Wembley last night, sparking fears of a recurrence of the groin injury which kept him out of Saturday's encounter with Slovakia.
Fabio Capello said Ferdinand would need to see the England doctor before an accurate diagnosis could be reached.
However, as he left Wembley on Wednesday, Ferdinand signalled to the watching crowd that he would probably be fit for United duty at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Sir Alex Ferguson will hope the early indication proves accurate as he is already without Nemanja Vidic through suspension.
The Serbian must serve the second of a two-match ban he picked up for his dismissal against Liverpool a fortnight ago.
In addition, Ferguson will be without Paul Scholes and in-form Wayne Rooney, who were both sent off seven days later at Fulham.
If that was not bad enough, Dimitar Berbatov is struggling with an ankle injury, Anderson picked up a knee problem while on World Cup duty with Brazil and Carlos Tevez must travel back from South America trying to take in the enormity of Argentina's astonishing 6-1 defeat to Bolivia.
It is hardly the ideal backdrop for an intense period of two games in three days, during which United must try and get their Premier League title defence back on track as well as take on FC Porto in the Champions League quarter final first leg.
Might we see Macheda starting up front? or maybe Welbeck.

and we're up against Friedel, who's like always possessed when he comes up against us.

where did vds go? isnt he ok? and supposedly neville's back rite? =)
i hope tevez plays though, imagine he can't make it too T.T scary
so much pressure........
Tevez will be wanting to unleash his pant up frustration accumulated from the thrashing in Bolivia. Park just returned from international duty, so he should display a few signs of jet lag.
The back four demands utmost concern, when up against Villa's agile attacking force of Gabriel Ab, Ashley Young, and the big presence of Emile Heskey. O'shea and Evans look pretty shaky against Fulham and Liverpool, and they have to rely on Rio Ferdinand's leadership to prevent any slip-ups.
With Villa playing at home to a hyped up crowd cheering their team to their potentially first-and major victory against the current champions in many games, I'd be wrong to say that they would lose this match.

I'm afraid if United don't get an early goal, the crowd's anxiety may start to affect the players.
Rio is not featuring.
Man Utd: Van der Sar, Neville, O'Shea, Evans, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Giggs, Tevez.
Subs: Foster, Park, Welbeck, Gibson, Martin, Macheda, Eckersley.
Aston Villa: Friedel, Luke Young, Cuellar, Davies, Shorey, Milner, Petrov, Barry, Ashley Young, Carew, Agbonlahor.
Subs: Guzan, Delfouneso, Knight, Salifou, Reo-Coker, Gardner, Albrighton.
Referee: Mike Riley (Yorkshire)
Damn, O'shea at centre back, not sure if he can take the pace of Agbonlahor or the muscle of Carew.
Wah lau, we were one up and Villa just scored the equalizer.
We better hit back hard to get the three points or else..
oh shit. this is bad. 3 consecutive defeats? please dont let this happen.
