Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves is aiming to play better football than he ever has when he finally returns to action next season.
The
England international has been limited to just 37 appearances for the
Red Devils since signing from Bayern Munich for around €25 million
(then £17m) in 2007.
The 28-year-old admits he has been
devastated at being restricted to the sidelines with a knee problem and
says he is looking to make up for lost time.
"I'm going to come back stronger and hopefully add a couple of years on to my career," Hargreaves is quoted as saying in The Manchester Evening News.
"It's
been frustrating at times. I don't really watch our games because, as
an athlete and being so competitive, it's hard to watch when you
normally would be out there."
