Bertolo.
MANCHESTER United are closing in on £4million-rated Argentine midfielder Nicolas Bertolo.
United have sent scouts to South America to watch the Banfield player who is aware of their interest.
Bertolo said: “Nothing is concrete. All I know is that United received passes to watch my games. It would be a dream to play for United. I would definitely be tempted.”
Bertolo has also attracted the interest of Italian clubs Lazio and Juventus but United are in pole position to sign him.
United are also set to win the race for Royal Antwerp’s teenage talent Charni Ekangamene. The 15-year-old striker impressed United during a trial spell and is set to sign for them on his 16th birthday later this year.
Ekangamene has also been pursued by Arsenal, Chelsea and Ajax but Antwerp is an official feeder club for United.
United will hand new contracts to the da Silva brothers, Rafael and Fabio. Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been so impressed with the Brazilian pair he is set to double their £3,000 a week wages.
I am very surprise that Rafael is only on $3k a week... And although the double their salary sounds very attractive, its still only $6k per week... Neville and Brown both gets about $50k per week, so this gives a whole new meaning to poor Rafael...
^ He is only 18-19 usually players like him do get lesser than the standard young english players.
