  I think not all lah... Players like Gibson and Nani may start... Neville also if he is fit... or Rafael take over. Some players will get to rest but if too many then I think Spurs will win this cos they are really going for this match.

  United will probably start with some first team members like Vidic, Rooney and Tevez.... all didn't play in CL and on the bench will have Anderson, Welbeck, Possebon.

  Carrick and Berbatov may get to rest for this match and Rio too if Brown or Evans are fir for this match...

  After Blackburn gave us a good scare, I'm pretty sure Fergie won't take any chances. He'll prolly field the usual tour de force lineup. Prediction? 3 - 0 to United.

  Sitting out: Berbatov will play no part at Wembley

   

  Dimitar Berbatov will not have the chance to get one over his former club in the Carling Cup final after Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson left the striker out of his squad to face Tottenham.

  Ferguson has named a strong squad for Sunday's showdown at Wembley, with Edwin van der Sar the only other notable absentee alongside Berbatov.

  The Bulgarian scored a penalty in last season's final as Tottenham came from behind to beat Chelsea.

  Ferguson has promised Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck they will start at Wembley as the pair have shown plenty of promise for the Old Trafford outfit this term already.

  GIBSON AND WELBECK GET STARTS

  

   

   

   

  Sir Alex Ferguson has promised Manchester United pair Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck they will start the Carling Cup final against Tottenham.

   

  The pair have shown plenty of promise for the Old Trafford outfit this term already and Ferguson feels they deserve an opportunity to strut their stuff in a major domestic showpiece.

   

  Ferguson has also confirmed Rafael Da Silva, who had already been ruled out with an ankle injury, will be missing for about a month, while Anderson and Gary Neville will travel to Wembley.

   

  Tottenham have Robbie Keane, Wilson Palacios, Carlo Cudicini and Pascal Chimbonda ineligible. They played earlier in the competition for different clubs, while on-loan Fraizer Campbell cannot play against his parent club.

  Skipper Ledley King (knee) will require his usual late check but is hopeful of playing, as is Jonathan Woodgate after requiring stitches against Hull on Monday. Roman Pavlyuchenko has been carrying a groin complaint.

  Breaking team news from Wembley... Wayne Rooney does not feature for Manchester United. Jonathan Woodgate is out of Tottenham's team with an Achilles injury, so Ledley King and Michael Dawson start in defence. Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko will lead the Spurs frontline.
