Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech saw Manchester United counterpart Edwin
van der Sar eclipse his Premier League record for time without
conceding a goal last month, a benchmark he set during the 2004-05
season.
The Dutchman has since killed Steve Death's Football
League record, which stood for 30 years, having now racked up 1,104
minutes without conceding.
However, the veteran 'keeper couldn't
have done it without his rearguard, who have limited their opponents to
very few shot on target.
Now, Blues man Cech is hoping that his
faltering team-mates can tighten up again themselves. They started the
season looking strong, but have now kept just one clean sheet in their
last eight games in all competitions.
"Whether it's our
concentration or not I don't know but we need to sort it out," fumed
Cech according to Chelsea's official website.
"At the start of the season we were getting a lot of clean sheets. Then, in December, we had a run where we didn't.
"You
can have a great game and still allow the opposition to score. That's
what we're doing and it makes everything a lot more difficult.
"When you're not conceding goals for so long, it gives you a massive boost to know one goal will get you three points.
"The league? It's not in our hands, it's in United's. We just have to be winning."
like I said before, making you look like a road block with the fluroscent orange is not helping, you need to remove the "condom", and then you won't have any "blind" spots...
