Hull sign Manucho from Manchester United on loan
Hull City have added to their striking options with a loan deal for Manchester United’s Angolan forward Manucho until the end of the season.
Loan star: Manucho joins Hull City on a loan deal to the end of the season from Manchester United.
Manucho has played just one Premier League match for United and spent much of last season on loan at Greek side Panathinaikos.
Hull are yet to secure a work permit for the 25-year-old but hope they will be able to achieve that before tomorrow’s match against Arsenal.
In a busy January for Phil Brown, who this week tied up a two-and-a-half year deal for Kevin Kilbane, the Hull manager also remains hopeful of completing the signing of former Liverpool right-back Steve Finnan from Espanyol, however that is unlikely to be finalised before the weekend.
Brown said the club were still hoping to do a deal with Finnan, but insisted they would have to be completely satisfied about the full-back’s fitness.
The deal may be further complicated by interest from Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp for the player’s services, though Hull remain very much the favourites.
“It is a long way from being complete,” said Brown.
“He has been injured and I think he has only played four games for Espanyol, which is a concern of ours, hence the reason he has undergone a medical to the extent he has.
“We are pulling out all the stops. We are making sure we are doing this one properly.”

Too many player in their current squad, including the youngsters. So the leftovers no chance for much 1st team action, go to lower tier for some experience and come back to play 1st team or gets sold away at a small profit. if he can come back and hammer a hat trick against MU, it would be good cause confirm he got quality.
I rem Ronaldo was picked up when he gave a torrid time to United players when they played in a friendly..
