Diego Maradona declared earlier this week that Inter would be the ideal side for Carlos Tevez and now it seems that the Via Durini directors are seriously mulling over a move for the Argentine international.
The 24-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford this term following the arrival of striker Dimitar Berbatov and was an unused substitute in the 3-0 win over Chelsea last Sunday.
The diminutive marksman is still owned by Media Sports Investments and is technically on loan at Old Trafford. This deal with the European and World Champions is due to expire at the end of the season.
However, Sir Alex Ferguson seems unwilling to make the move permanent as MSI have reportedly slapped a hefty price tag of €32 million on their player's head. Should United fail to meet MSI's economic demands, 'Carlitos' will be free to walk away next summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning that the loan deal could sensationally be rescinded this month, with Inter poised to swoop.
MSI chairman Kia Joorabchian reportedly met with the Beneamata directors during his latest trip to Milan, when the parties starting discussions over a potential transfer during the winter session of the Calciomercato.
