United have confirmed the arrival of defender Ritchie De Laet on loan from Stoke City.
The 20 year-old Belgian will stay until the end of the 2008/09 season and will play for the Reserves.
De
Laet joined Stoke from Royal Antwerp in August 2007 but to date he has
not featured for the first team, only being named as a substitute on
several occasions.
He spent the early part of the current season on loan at non-league Wrexham, where he made three appearances in the Blue Square Premier before heading back to Stoke for surgery on a double hernia.
Who?
This Boy...
They have signed Stoke defender Ritchie De Laet — who has NEVER played for the Potters.
The Belgian, 20, joined Stoke from United’s feeder club Royal Antwerp in a £100,000 deal in August 2007.
Potters boss Tony Pulis said: “They were aware of Ritchie. You can’t turn down the chance to go to a club like that.”
Kuyt with short hair
Huh??
I don't think its a loan deal...
World champions Manchester United have given the centre half a three year deal after agreeing a performance-related payment package with Stoke.
probably scouted/noticed him when he was still at Antwerp.
Maybe Antwerp want him back so asked United to help them buy him then loan him back to them... lol
Huh?!?!!? He's that good meh? If he was that good United would've bought him and sent him to the first team
most bizarre indeed
