Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic insists his side are not worried about facing Manchester United in the Champions League knock-out stages, revealing he prefers meeting the Red Devils over Liverpool.
The Italian champions lock horns with Sir Alex Ferguson's men in February for a place in the quarter finals of the competition.
Following last year's shambles against English opposition, Stankovic is confident of making up for it.
"Manchester? I am not worried. I was scared of facing Liverpool," Stankovic told Il Giornale.
"Liverpool are a high level team and they have something extra in Steven Gerrard.
"When you play them you see how he drags the team forward. He is their leader."
Inter are amongst the favourites to win the trophy this season even though Barcelona are the front-runners.
"The season is still long and everyone is talking about Barcelona," continued the midfielder.
"However, we will see what happens in February."
Meanwhile, Inter coach Jose Mourinho has already started the mind games with Ferguson by claiming he would rather coach the Nerazzurri over United.

According to Inter coach Jose Mourinho, Manchester United
defender Nemanja Vidic should be given at least a two-match ban for his red
card in the Club World Cup final, forcing him to miss his side’s Champions
League last-16 ties against Inter Milan.
The Serbian defender was sent off for elbowing striker
Claudio Bieler in the face in United's 1-0 win over Liga de Quito and will
serve his punishment in European competition, with UEFA yet to decide the length
of any ban.
Speaking on the matter Mourinho said, “I would be amazed if
Vidic did not get at least two matches, which could be too little for a gesture
like that in a match seen by the whole world.”
It is unlikely that the coach’s words will have any sway
with European football’s governing body, but the final punishment may see the
Serbian player miss out on one or two of this season’s key matches against the
Italians.
It would also be interesting to know United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's reation to Mourinho's "recommendation."
First Rooney now Vida.
JM lost his marbles! And his 2 testis?
