Alex Ferguson wants to offer Carlos Tevez and Ji-Sung Park new contracts before the end of the season, as a quiet January on the transfer front is in prospect for Manchester United.
Rather than bringing in big name players, the United boss wants to hang onto those that he has, and Tevez and Park are his current priorities.
Tevez is approaching the end of his current two-year loan deal, whilst Park recently revealed that although he moves into the final year of his current contract next season, he is yet to be offered a new one.
The Korean has emerged as a key member of Ferguson's squad over the last couple of seasons, whilst Tevez once again demonstrated his importance to the Red Devils by netting the winning goal against Stoke City on Boxing Day.
"I want to stay here, but we'll have to wait and see," Park told The Manchester Evening News.
"I'm
not letting myself become too worried. I just want to concentrate on
playing well for United and, hopefully, we'll be able to talk.
"If I play well and show that I'm an asset to the team then maybe I'll get a new contract from the manager."
Tevez has been rumoured to be unhappy at his lack of first-team starts at Old Trafford this season, and has been linked with moves to, amongst other places, Manchester City. It would seem now though that United want to cut through the complications of his loan deal and registration and make him a genuine part of the club at last.

hope they stay :)
Lolx y no Park Picture at there de
will not be cheap to tie down tevez
lol they should stay
Park deserve to stay, he is a workhorse for the team and though he do not score much, he still provide many importants goals and provide trouble for the opponent, he is the pride of all Asians and ones of the many many reasons why i support Man U.
Yah I also hope Park stays. He offers a different kind of dimension as a winger compared with Giggs who does not have the blistering pace of yesteryear and Ronaldo, who normally cuts into the centre and can be selfish at times. Whats more, he has worked hard to establish himself in the first team in the past 2 seasons and it would be stupid and a waste to let him leave.
Actually on the topic of wingers, I personally feel that Fergie should have played Eagles more often in important games and I felt it was a waste to let him go. Personally I think he's as good as, if not better than Nani, only needed more games against BPL opposition.
