Park Fears Manchester United Exit

Park Ji-Sung is concerned that talks over a new contract at Manchester United have yet to begin.
Manchester United’s Park Ji-Sung has admitted he fears he might be nearing the end of his career at Old Trafford.
The South Korean is out of contract at the end of next season and he has admitted that talks over a new deal are yet to even begin.
Speaking to the News of the World, Park admitted he is keen to stay in Manchester but also conceded he had received no guarantees that this will be the case.
“I only have one more year left on my contract and there has been no contact about a new deal yet,” he said. “I want to stay here but we’ll have to wait and see.”
The South Korean also insisted that he was not going to let the contract situation worry him and admitted he must do his talking on the pitch.
“I’m not letting myself become too worried. I just want to concentrate on playing well for United and, hopefully, we’ll talk,” he explained.
“If I play well and show that I’m an asset to the team then maybe I’ll get a new contract.”
Park joined United from PSV Eindhoven in 2005 but is far from a regular in Sir Alex Ferguson’s starting XI, a situation he admits he is disappointed by but appears willing to live with.
“It hurt me to miss the Champions League final, so to play in the Club World Cup was great,” he said. “To be called a world champion is amazing – a dream for me.”
