VS
Tottenham v Manchester United
2-3
This would be one very tough match... And to make it more difficult, United are without Rooney and more importantly, Evra... O'Shea I am not so confident...
Fergie is wary of hot Spurs
Old Trafford manager Fergie said: “It is one of our most important games of the season. “We have a great record down there — and hopefully we still will have after the match.”
But Fergie admitted Spurs look dangerous under new boss Harry Redknapp — as they proved by winning 2-0 at West Ham. He added: “Tottenham are in good form. They played well on Monday and had control of the game, so I am expecting a close contest and a good match. It always is against Tottenham.
“It is a game people look forward to because there is usually a quality about it.”
well, was watching the football show, and what I gathered, SAF wants to be within striking range when the team is back from Japan and that means max points now till then..Also, historically, MU is better at chasing... Given how Pool and Chelsea are maintaining their winning ways, it is pressure for MU and Gunners to keep up lor..
Harry: Fans within rights to jeer Berbatov
"I don't know what kind of reception he'll get," said Redknapp.
"He was a good player for this club and, financially, they got a lot of money for him.
"It's up to the fans if they want to jeer him every time he gets the ball.
"It's their prerogative and up to them. They can do that as long as it's not racist abuse or anything.
"They're entitled to shout, cheer or boo or whatever they want to do."
Redknapp feels United will not miss the suspended Wayne Rooney because Carlos Tevez is a suitable replacement.
"As great a player as Rooney is, Tevez is a great player too and it's not the end of the world having to bring Tevez into the team, that's for sure," he added.
Here are five reasons why Spurs won’t be beaten, according to the betting genii at chickendinner:
1. Tottenham are unbeaten against the Big Four this season having drawn away to Arsenal and Chelsea, and picked up home wins over Liverpool in both the Premier League and the Carling Cup.
2. The champions have won just one of their last eight away games in London. Besides a win against Fulham, the Red Devils have drawn twice and lost once at Chelsea, drawn and lost at Arsenal, drawn at Tottenham and lost to West Ham over the last nineteen months.
3. Spurs ended a six game home losing streak against United with a 1-1 draw last season, where Sir Alex Ferguson’s side needed a last-minute equaliser from Carlos Tevez to avoid defeat.
4. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have the worst away record of all the top five this season, winning just three of their eight away games and therefore taking just half of the available points. Bolton, Hull and Everton have all taken more points on their travels than the champions.
5. Harry Redknapp took points from four of his last six meetings with Manchester United while at Portsmouth, winning two and drawing two.
More good news for Spurs
If Berbatov is passed fit, Spurs fans can be confident of him not scoring because he failed to notch in any of his last five appearances at White Hart Lane. The Bulgarian striker has also scored just once in eight appearances, while Robbie Keane failed to score on his miserable return to North London last month. Tevez would appear the better option considering his three goals in four starts against the club.
My guess for this match...
Manchester United :
Van Der Sar, Kuszczak, Foster, Neville, R Da Silva, Ferdinand, Vidic, O'Shea, Evans, F Da Silva, Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Park, Possebon, Giggs, Tevez, Nani, Ronaldo, Anderson, Berbatov, Manucho, Welbeck.
Van Der Sar
Rafael / Ferdinand / Vidic / O'Shea
Ronaldo / Carrick / Scholes / Fletcher / Park
Berbatov
Subs:
Foster, Neville, Evans, Nani, Anderson, Giggs, Tevez.
King aims to topple United
King said: "It's a massive game whenever you play the champions, a great game to be involved in. "They have fantastic players throughout their squad and these are the games you want to be involved in, testing yourself against the top players.
"It's a good challenge for us. We've not lost to the other three sides in the top four we've played so far and we can take confidence from that. "It's been close between us and United in recent years but that's what makes them champions - they find a way of getting a result.
"That's what has happened in the past but we're on a good run now and we're confident that perhaps now is the right time to get a result against United."
This is one match that is going to be very hard to win... Spurs has not lost to any of the other big 3 so I think they will work very hard to make it 4 in 4. I think a draw could be the result...

Yeah... United's 4 will have a hard time... But at least Fergie have gone with the 4 that can run rather than the Giggs or Scholes or O'Shea type... Hope they can overcome the Spurs 5...
