Manchester United have failed in an attempt to take Valerenga striker Moa Abdellaoue on trial for a week.
The 23-year-old, who has been likened to United great Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has been attracting interest from Old Trafford after proving prolific in the Norwegian game.
But with a number of clubs reportedly showing interest in the forward, both Abdellaoue and his club have decided to turn down the offer of a week at Carrington.
“Moa has been one of Valerenga’s best players in the Premier Division this season and he is on the way to establishing himself with the national team,” Breen told the Norwegian press.
“In addition there is interest from other clubs so we decided with Moa and his agent to turn down Manchester United as they wanted a week-long trial.”
The player added: “I love being at Valerenga and look forward to developing further with the club.
“Myself and the club will consider any offers from other clubs when they come.”
