did he play?
ronaldo is so full of himself.
he deserved the sending off.
well to be fair, even if Ronaldo may have heard the whistle, he should not have use his hands. it is a good lesson for him to learnt.
kudos to Rooney for getting the 100 goals..
many reasons why MU should win and not city..
firstly, the link up between Evra and Ronaldo down the left wing, it is the most productive. I wasn't sure why Ronaldo and Park needs to switch, maybe to balance.
secondly, Fletcher and Carrick, they were doing a fanastic job of holding the midfield and passing the ball forward. This stresses Ireland and Hanman, and they are forced to come close and creates a hole infront of city defence which United uses. And inevitably, forces SWP to track back, and his best energy was spent on defending more than attacking.
thirdly, Vidic. The man-mountain, he alone could have stem all City attacks, but with the backline holding firm, the defence is sound.
to put Rafael on Robinho was a masterstroke. Brazil vs Brazil. His energy was immense, and I think he is slowly balancing between going forward and defending. I see him as a natural successor to GNeville.
And I think we need to applaud Park, he was working tireless and also got a hand in the goal. He is our Asian Pride.
lastly, Rooney, he is like a shark that smells blood, always going forward. I felt he was even more forward than Berba. But I am delighted that he held his composure well. But one thing, his needless complains may earn him cards in future.
Sadly, the sore point was ronaldo. He was not pushed as per Rio. To be fair, I believe if he went and put full contact with the ball, we may be 2-0 up.
also, Giggs, is finally showing his age. Imagine, he can't get away form Dunne in a foot race when he was put clear. And also, when Joe Hart was off position. His awareness was below par. If he and not Rooney would have release the shot towards the goalmouth, MU would have been 2-0.
Tatically,SAF got one up vs Sparky. The wily old fox got his 3points.
The biggest joy of this win was to stuff the words back in Sinclair's mouth back in the studio..
With Rafael and Evans, United have 2 future defensive positions covered already... If Fabio is also as good, the left-back position will also be covered... Rafael was really impressive handling Robinho... Can't remember how much Fergie paid for the 2 brothers...

Ronaldo surely steal all the limelight away from Rooney...
Vidic was the man in our defence last night, without him i think the defence would be shaky as usual!
The Ronaldo handball thing, I notice it too. I was telling my friend that he was in great position to head the ball, and put it into the back of the net. But somehow he use his hand

yep, I read this too.. but evra is fanastic. heard the commentators that one of the reason why SAF likes him is his tenacity. He once played thru the UCL game with a bad gush on his feet for Monaco.
utd played risky football IMO. . .
tsk. . ..
Rooney celebrating!

He was and has mostly played in that "free role" behind the striker and in this match it was Benjani just like it was against Arsenal... with Vassell and Benjani together...
