Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo can usually be found tricking
his way past an opponent in the final third of a football pitch but
according to Brian McClair, a former United striker and current youth
academy director, Ronaldo has been the subject of a prank.
The
Red Devils number 7 was recently pictured in British tabloid the Mirror
sweating through his jacket on a night on the town, so his team-mates
saw an opportune moment to merk the winking wing wizard.
McClair
told the Mirror: "As he is never one for getting to training early, he
found this picture copied all over the dressing-room. When he opened
his locker, all the deodorants and perfumes fell out. He was not
amused!"
This is not the first time the Manchester United squad have been found playing practical jokes on their team-mates.
Prior
to the 2006 World Cup Rio Ferdinand released an MTV style show called
'Merked', where he pulled tricks on his England team-mates including
Wayne Rooney who thought he had killed a dog, Shaun Wright Phillips who
was under the impression he had upset a waiter, and David Beckham who
got so scared that he jumped out of a moving car.
lol, the merked series was really damn funny. classic.
