It's well known that Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will want to snare
some of his former Portsmouth charges at the soonest possible
opportunity.
In particular, reports have suggested that 'Arry
is particularly keen to continue working with fast-developing utility
man Lassana Diarra, who has been a class apart for Pompey this season.
The
23-year-old former Chelsea and Arsenal man, though, is also coveted by
Manchester United gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson, who registered a £12
million interest in him last summer.
Now, Fergie is tipped to
battle Redknapp in the New Year for the Frenchman's services. The Scot
is on red alert after learning that Owen Hargreaves, who covers a
similar range of positions as Diarra, is likely to miss the rest of the
season.
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has also been tipped to
bid for Diarra, whose days at Fratton Park could be numbered. The
player is keen to make himself a mainstay of Les Bleus and may feel he
needs to be back in the glaring spotlight before that can happen.
nah, this guy probably cant take rotation.
well, with OwenH in the decline, Scholes, close to retiring, anderson improving, he should get a spot...
is he really worth it?
or we can give the chance to our youth players like gibson and possenbon?
Hmm... SAF sounds desperate to go for Diarra
I don't think Fergie is even interested on this guy... Not heard of this news before tho...
possebon.
