According to The Mirror, Redknapp - who replaced the sacked Juande Ramos at the weekend - is eager to lure Foster to White Hart Lane in January.
The
former Portsmouth boss is apparently unconvinced by Heurelho Gomes, who
Spurs signed during the summer. The Brazilian goalkeeper has made a
number of high-profile errors since his £7.8million switch from PSV
Eindhoven.
Foster, meanwhile, is highly rated by Sir Alex
Ferguson but has struggled to break through at Old Trafford due to
injuries and the consistent form of the evergreen Dutchman, Edwin van
der Sar.
The 25-year-old has made no secret of his desire for
more first-team football and, although he is determined to make the
grade at United, he would no doubt welcome a loan move.
Nottingham
Forest, currently playing in the Coca-Cola Championship, have also been
linked with Foster, who has one England cap to his name.
Redknapp
is also thought to be keeping tabs on Pompey custodian David James,
although the chances of him leaving Fratton Park any time soon are slim.

Hehehe... The title is such that the word Foster is not referring to Ben's name...
Sir Alex Ferguson has moved to quell rumours that reserve goalkeeper Ben Foster could be leaving Old Trafford for a loan spell at Harry Redknapp's Spurs.
Redknapp had wanted the young England international as a replacement for the error-prone Heurelho Gomes, but Ferguson has promptly quashed the speculation.
"There is absolutely no chance of Ben Foster or Tomasz Kuszczak going out on loan," said Ferguson.
"We have Tom Heaton on loan at Cardiff at the moment and that is plenty."
Foster would like first-team football before too long though, and his agent had intimated that the keeper might even consider a return to Watford and a drop into the Championship in order to play regularly.
The longer he remains in United's reserves though, the more likely a move away would seem.
