Cristiano Ronaldo insists he is ‘at the right club’ and says he believes he can win more silverware with Manchester United.
Ronaldo has yet to fully recover his form and fitness after undergoing ankle surgery in the summer, but his return to the side has coincided with a significant improvement in results and performances and he remains hugely important to the team.
And while Real Madrid continue in their attempts to unsettle the player ahead of an expected bid next summer, Ronaldo says he is happy at Old Trafford.
"I am an ambitious person, not just in football but in normal life," he told MUTV.
"I have an opportunity to be better than I am and I am always keen to get better. I am still young and I have won things already, but it is not enough. I want to win more.
“I am at the right club and I am playing with the right players."
The Portugal international scored a remarkable 42 goals last season as United enjoyed success at home and in Europe and, while he feels it will be difficult to repeat that this time around, he remains optimistic.
"I hope to score more goals," he said.
"It will be hard to score 42 goals again but I believe in myself, my colleagues and Manchester United.
"It is going to be tough but I train the same and I am the same person.
"I am feeling better now and this is the challenge for me."
