Atletico Madrid star Diego Forlan has revealed he wants to cheer Manchester United's supporters by scoring against Liverpool again in the Champions League clash on Wednesday night.
The Uruguay international's undisputed highlight of his largely unimpressive stint in England was a two-goal show at Anfield in 2002 when one of the strikes came gift-wrapped by Reds keeper Jerzy Dudek.
It led to Forlan being reserved a special place in the United fans' affections and he would like to go up further in their estimations by helping upset Rafa Benitez's side at the Vicente Calderon.
"I know the special rivalry between Man United and Liverpool and how much it would mean to the United supporters, who have always been very good to me," Forlan informed The Mirror.
"I would love to score against Liverpool and I think it would help us get the right result.
"I am sure it would also please people at Old Trafford because of the relationship between the clubs."
