SCHOLES could be out for up to TWO months

PAUL SCHOLES faces up to TWO months on the sidelines after suffering a serious injury against Aalborg last night.
The Manchester United ace was carried off the pitch on a stretcher after 16 minutes. And boss Alex Ferguson believes he damaged medial ligaments.
Although the team managed well without him, winning 3-0 in their Group E match, the loss of Scholes potentially until late November will be a significant blow to United.
The ex-England international was subbed following a challenge with Thomas Augustinussen. Ryan Giggs came on as his replacement and laid on the first goal for Wayne Rooney.

Paul Scholes ruled out of action for ten weeks after suffering medial ligament damage
Paul Scholes, the Manchester United midfielder, will be out of action for 10 weeks after suffering medial ligament damage in last night's Champions League win over Aalborg.
Scholes was injured just 16 minutes into the 3-0 victory and it immediately became obvious that he could not continue. Sir Alex Ferguson, the United manager, confirmed Scholes had suffered ligament damage to his right knee and a scan this morning has confirmed the extent of the damage.
He will not be available again until the visit to Tottenham on December 13, which comes immediately before United head to Japan for the World Club Championship.
Scholes is also expected to miss the remainder of the Champions League group stage, plus key Premier League away games at Everton, Arsenal and Manchester City. In total the 33-year-old could miss 16 matches.
