Too Many Strikers At United?

  Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has scoffed at the suggestion that he now has too many strikers on his hands.

  With the recent arrival of Dimitar Berbatov, Ferguson now has an embarrassment of riches up front with Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney and young Danny Welbeck listed as strikers and with Cristiano Ronaldo able to fill the role with devastating effect as well.
  
  "For us to achieve what we want to achieve we need four strikers," Ferguson was quoted as saying on Sky Sports News.
  
  "I have been saying for over a year now we have been operating with two strikers, which is ridiculous for a club of our size.
  
  "It is not always a matter of who is playing the best or who I prefer. It is a matter of keeping the freshness in the team.
  
  "There is an art to keeping strikers fresh."
  
  Two of their leading attackers were on target against Bolton on Saturday with Ronaldo finding the net yet again following his comeback, and Rooney going some way towards silencing some of his growing band of critics. Speaking ahead of the 2-0 win, Ferguson commented on what still has to be considered a lean spell for the England striker.
  
  "Players are still trying to find their fitness," he added.
  
  "Wayne is not getting a lot of chances at the moment but Liverpool and Chelsea are hardly the easiest places to go.
  
  "It is difficult to judge the goalscoring performance of any player when you have those two games right at the start of a season."

  not really true. rooney can play as a winger if needed. i guess, SAF just have to play 4-3-3 ya. one of the 4 resting on bench first.

  Just give up the idea la. Later when we kena owned by the wings people kpkb again. Say no width la here and there. All the should haves, shouldn't haves, why play Tevez outwide, why put 3 midfielders here and there.
