Rennes midfielder Stephane M’Bia has turned his back on interest from the likes of Everton, Arsenal and Real Madrid, and instead focused his attentions on securing a ‘dream’ move to Manchester United.
It was The Toffees who showed the most substantive interest in M’Bia over the summer, only to be knocked back twice in their attempts to sign the Cameroon midfielder.
M’Bia has since penned a new contract which ties him to Rennes for one more year, but guarantees him the right to seek a transfer elsewhere next summer.
“Who could be better than Real Madrid or Arsenal? Manchester United. It is my dream to play for them,” he said in the News of the World.
“Real were first to show interest [this summer], then Newcastle and Valencia. But I have a big season the offers will be even bigger.
“When I was at the Olympics with Cameroon, I asked Rigobert Song, Samuel Eto’o and Geremi about it. They told me I should stay at Rennes another year.
“I’m happy with another season there.”
