The latest reports suggest that Manchester United are finally set to
clinch the signing of Dimitar Berbatov after offering Fraizer Campbell
plus money in exchange, but when a Sky Sports reporter pressed Poyet on
whether the Bulgarian has played his last game for the club, he simply
said: "You will know tomorrow."
Poyet was also asked whether he
believes that new signing Roman Pavluychenko and Darren Bent can
provide sufficient firepower up-front during the length of the
campaign, to which he responded: "Probably not. But there is a day and
a half to go (until the transfer window closes). I know the chairman is
working very hard, so let's see what happens."
Before Sunday's
match at Chelsea, which ended in what was a commendable 1-1 draw for
Tottenham, the club's manager Juande Ramos admitted that the ongoing
Berbatov situation has contributed to their false start to the season.
"You get the feeling that the sooner the whole thing is finished the better," said the Spaniard.
"The
chapter finally closes with the end of the transfer market. I think
there is going to be lots of reasonably furious action between now and
then."
He added: "Without a doubt, it has had an awful lot to do with the start to the season.
"It would have been great to have been a lot calmer. But you have to grin and bear it and get on with things.
"Certainly
the ideal situation is that you get your squad settled early, you work
with all the players in the pre-season period."
CB la monday already, haven't seen shit happen...
Yalor.. We need some fire power badly man.. Look at the pre-season and the BPL, non of the forwards are firing.. Only Tevez working the hardest around the field, Rooney looks out of sort, Nani mis-firing as always & Campbell is hopeless.. Wish there would be some good news when i turn on the news tomorrow.. *Fingers Crossed*
Fergie... saving up for the next transfer window? maybe splash out on benzema and all the big names? lol
