Moscow Waiting On United's Money

The Moscow city council are still waiting for Manchester United to settle their transport bill following May’s Champions League final.
Over 40,000 English fans travelled to the Russian capital to see the Red Devils down Chelsea on penalties to claim their third European Cup and complete a memorable double.
But their triumph comes at a price, as the city is claiming more than ₤118,000 in expenses for the supporters’ transport – a sum United have yet to cough up.
“Unfortunately, Manchester United have not paid us back in full,” a city spokesperson told the press. “They still owe us about 148,000 euros.”
Over 670 buses were used to ferry United and Chelsea fans between the Luzhniki Stadium and Moscow’s three airports on May 21.
It is remains uncertain whether the Blues have already paid off their portion of the bill. -
