Wayne Rooney takes the mickey out of the fact he was a flop at school - with a cheeky tattoo. The Man Utd star has had the words "Just enough education to perform" inked on to his right forearm. It is the title of an album by his favourite band The Stereophonics and a reference to the fact he left school without one GCSE.
A source said: "The Stereophonics are huge musical heroes of his. He absolutely loves the band and that's his favourite album. "But he also thinks it's funny that it could have been written about him."
Rooney was thrilled when Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones jetted in for a surprise performance at his wedding in Italy last month. The singer later revealed he had made Roo vow to declare himself Welsh and sign for Leeds United.
Rooney, pictured in Cheshire, added the tattoo to two others - a cross on his upper right arm and wife Coleen's name on his left.
