Rooney found himself firmly in Ronaldo's shadows for the almost
entirety of last campaign, but to his credit never showed a hint of
resentment and contributed greatly to United's double last season with
plenty of hard wok and assists.
Ronaldo's form was so
irresistible that it was almost as if the England man willingly played
second fiddle in order to maximise the impact the Portuguese's solo
concerto, but now he is eager to prove that he can be just as prolific
in front of goal.
"Cristiano is unbelievable," Rooney said of his strike partner.
"What he's done for United in the last two years is brilliant.
"Playing alongside him makes you work hard. You always want to be the best and I think I can score a few more goals."
Rooney
will have to more than double his output of 18 goals in all
competitions last campaign if he is to match Ronaldo' incredible 42
goals last term.
go go go wayne !!!
sub your sticks!
why he is not scoring as much is he is playing more for the team in that he takes up odd positions and alot of times, asking him to be defensive..
however saying that, I don't think he is the box-type striker like a RVN also.
