Man Utd's Ronaldo must take pay-cut for Madrid move
Real Madrid want Cristiano Ronaldo to take a PAY-CUT on his Manchester United wages to seal a move to Spain.
The Daily Star says in a sensational twist in their attempts to lure the Portuguese winger, the Spanish giants are only preparing to offer him a £5.5m-a-season deal.
<!-- ord=Math.random()*10000000000000000;document.write('<script language="JavaScript" src="http://ad.au.doubleclick.net/adj/prodigy.tribalfootball/generic;dcopt=ist;sz=300x250;ord=' + ord + '?" type="text/javascript"></scr' + 'ipt>'); // --> The contract would leave Ronaldo around £1.5m out of pocket if he leaves Old Trafford. Club sources claim the player will not be bothered by the pay cut because his commercial earnings away from football will rocket after he signs for them.
However, it's a massive step down from original suggestions that they would offer him £10m a year.
Club captain Raul is understood to have it written into his contract that no-one at the club can be paid more than him.
So Ronaldo would join World Cup-winning Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas on the same money as the Real forward.
If its true then i dun think he'll go already since he only see $
but i doubt the raul salary thing is true tho... its nonsensical
maybe he really wants to play for rm we wont know
if you claim that the raul thing as nonsense, why even bother posting this news?
the whole news is based on rumors on this "Club captain Raul is understood to have it written into his contract that no-one at the club can be paid more than him.".

well i guess rm doesnt have enuff $ to give ronaldo a 300k per week salary coz they got so many other stars who also demand big fat salaries.. thats why i post
i think raul does have this clause in his contract.

well, the one thing that will come good from this transaction is it takes place,is that it will create disharmony for RM.
I don't think RM has no money, the way they are able to sell their training grounds at such "HIGH" price to the state has sparked many talks.
I won't be surprised if some deals are brokered for Ronaldo.
However, as long as the money received is re-invested in a couple of good players.
