United fears over Anderson injury

Manchester United ace Anderson may have suffered a serious knee injury after being challenged by Javier Mascherano while on international duty.
After a robust first-half tackle by Liverpool's Mascherano during the World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Argentina, Anderson collapsed in pain clutching his knee and, despite lengthy medical treatment, was unable to continue. He left the pitch on a stretcher in obvious pain and looked close to tears.
There is already speculation that Anderson may have damaged his knee ligaments, with Brazil expected to provide an update on his status later in the day.

Anderson injury fears allayed
Brazil team doctor Jose Luiz Runco does not believe the injury Anderson suffered in the 0-0 draw with Argentina on Wednesday night is serious.
The Manchester United midfielder went off in the first-half of the World Cup qualifier at Estadio Mineirao after twisting his left knee.
Runco, who is still waiting for the results of further tests, said: "Anderson felt an injury to his knee, a twist. However, it doesn't seem so serious. We will be sure only after the MRI scans (on Thursday)."
Anderson had been selected to play for the Under-23 side in a friendly in Volta Redonda against a combination of Rio de Janeiro-based players on Sunday.
Runco added: "Only after the scans we will be able to make a decision about Anderson's participation in Sunday's match."
