Manchester United are weighing up a move for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.
Barca's new coach Pep Guardiola has revealed that the star Cameroon hitman is up for sale this summer.

The Manchester Evening News says Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson has put a new striker at the top of his summer transfer business.
The European and Premier League champions are set to face problems signing one of their favoured hitmen, Karim Benzema, as his club Lyon are attempting to price the 20-year-old out of the market.
United also have Dimitar Berbatov of Spurs and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar of Ajax - who scored against Romania for Holland last night - on their list of possibles.
However, the news that the way is clear for Eto'o to find a new home away from Catalonia will almost certainly mean he'll be placed in the 'interested' file as the Reds wait to make their big moves after Euro 2008.
since when did man utd become another chelsea?
They're just shortlisting I guess. Just in case their main targets get 'hooked off' by other clubs.
"if" he arrives, how is he gonna fit in the forward line? act as bench-warmer?
YESSSSSSSSS GET ETO'OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
give him attacking midfield also can wat
hmm fergie liks to tinker with the 4-3-3 kind of formation.. as in right now also rooney ronaldo are the wingers and tevez up front.. hmm interesting..
i can imagine eto'o being put into defence, since Man U defence abit shaky

perhaps 2 man striker role would be fine ...cant keep using ronaldo and tevez or rooney..who knows if ronaldo leaves we are short of forwards to predict saha will be the bench warmer again

what do you mean cant use?..players need game time, if not their skills drop...
i pity saha,..we cant always blame chelsea for not using talent....Man U also what...saha has talent...but gets wasted with being either as bench warmer or reserve player....sux
sorry i mean by we cant keep playing rooney and tevez what if they gets injured and lack of fitness even they look liek bullls but saha..i admit his a good finisher decent passer however his not wasting his talent is his injuries that slows him down
however eto is a great player i dont think he would be too happy to sit on the bench though

That's because he keeps getting injuries.
Don't even have the chance to put him on the bench.
Yo bird man, the thing with saha is he keeps getting injured.. Not many people can actually straight away get a lot of playing time after each injuries especially to the degree of Saha's. When he comes back from long rest due to injury, obviously lah need to let him get games in reserves and start out on the bench first..
Don't just compare like that on the surface lah get into details first then the story will differ mah.. No doubt Saha is a talented player, you think Man Utd pay him to be injured meh? Lets try to be fair here and not jump into conclusions le..
Sori yo bird man again.. I wonder why you say Man U defence a bit shaky.. In comparison to any team in particular? I find the comment a bit off lols..

would a player getting a serious injury = end of career?
Saha... I must say he played a very important part in United winning back the premier league title from Jose Mourinho in 06/07 season...
The 2006/07 season before Tevez came, he was the one getting a number of important and match winning goals... It's a pity that he played for the first half of the season without injuries but became injury prone again from the 2nd half of it...
Nevertheless, Saha should still be given the credit that he played a big role in that season. Yeah that same year Jose's chelsea spent $80 over million and United only bought one M Carrick... It wasn't easy you can see...

Unfortunately, there are players who had to retire due to serious injuries.
