The man in question is German international striker Lukas Podolski, who
began the tournament in sensational form with the two goals which
defeated Poland in the Group B clash on Sunday evening.
The 23-year-old was a bargain £6million signing for Bayern Munich two
years ago, and the Bundesliga giants would be extremely reluctant to
entertain interest in the player this summer.
Sir Alex Ferguson, though, is in the market for a new striker due to
Louis Saha’s injury problems, and he could plot to tempt the Germans
into a sale for around £20million.
I dont know about you guys but I feel he could be better that Shevchenko when the Ukranian was in his prime. You could say that he is a more 'polished' striker>haha
I think he'll be a good buy, though he'll be pretty costly. Hope he can compliment Rooney.
I hope they have a look at the other German Mario Gomez too.
lol.. i bought podolski in fm too lol.. wonder if they will buy akinfeev to replace van der sar..

lol.. i nv see him play before too.. just that FM stats is incredulous for a 20+ year old youngster.. almost all equal to vds, if not better.. lol..
I think Bayern will let him go cheap. He rarely plays anyway. Ribery is prefered on the right and sweinsteiger on the left. Up front they have Klose and Toni. I don't think Podolski fancies staying and competing with these guys for a starting position

Akinfeev's 1-on-1 saves is damn good and he's young.
But i think foster is already a v good goalkeeper.
They have ribery liao..dun think podolski is utilised regularly..then what about Torsten Frings? Think he's a "fringe" player
podolski is rox man.. should buy him..
to psycho2400: yah... akinfeev is good haha.. at least in fm.. lol..
He's gd.BUT,i would prefer a taller fox in box kind o striker...cos we have similar players like tevez and rooney already. One area we need to improve in our attack is the conversion of crosses from the flanks.Ronaldo's been doing for us for last season, and we wouldn't know if he will be with us for long!...
Bayern are quite weird... Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger are not in their first team... They are like sub players... no wonder they may want to leave Bayern...
He is gifted with speed and can shoot straignt at any range with both feet.
I only saw him play once, and he distinctly reminds me of a rooney type player. Even Tevez a little bit.
I thot MUFC was in the hunt for a target man like Saha or Ruud..Just thot getting that target man may provide another game play.
