Silvestre, 31, has been strongly tipped to make a return to his French
homeland and ambitious Bordeaux, but the club's chief scout Marius
Tresor has raised serious doubts.
“For Mikael Silvestre, I’m afraid it’s complicated,” said the ex French star.
“I recently met him in the West Indies.
“He told me he was at least approached by Roma," Tresor added.
“And as far as both teams are concerned, there’s a risk a permanent move to Roma is more attractive than a loan to Bordeaux.”
Roma
have taken a fancy to out of favour Premiership side-backs of late,
having also been strongly linked to Liverpool defender John Arne Riise
in recent weeks.
