Cardiff City starlet Aaron Ramsey has decided to join Arsenal, snubbing offers from United and Everton.
The highly-rated 17-year-old midfielder met with all three clubs for talks after bids - believed to be around £5million - were accepted last week.
The Premier League and Champions League holders appeared to be in pole position to sign the talented young Welsh international, but Cardiff have since confirmed the teenager's future lies elsewhere.
"Cardiff City were informed on Friday morning that Aaron Ramsey’s preferred destination this summer is at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal,” Cardiff's website confirmed.
"We will now continue the dialogue with the Gunners with a view to Aaron’s move being completed.
"The move, unlike other options, however, does not include a loan-back period at Ninian Park for the 2008/09 season."
Nvm lah... United don't need him anyway thats why they were ready to loan him back to Cardiff... Since he wants to leave Cardiff right now so badly, going to Arsenal will give him that chance... And who knows, maybe he think he can get into the Gunners squad earlier than at United...

i think he'll regret it
go arsenal, they wont let him into 1st team so easily...
can see him play for like another 2 to 3 seasons in the reserves
What i read was it all boiled down to Fergie being on holiday when Ramsey visited Carrington.
Whereas, Arsenal arranged a private jet to bring Ramsey to Switzerland to meet Wenger.

wont la arsene wenger like youth the ma he wont rot
in fact, i think he made a good move..
More like he felt his chances of getting into the Arsenal midfield was easier than United's with Carrick, Owen, Anderson there for the next 4 to 5 years, its going to be tough for him... To be fair, tho he has potential, he is not even Fletcher's level yet... thats why United were not keen to take him on immediately... So going to United would mean sitting on the bench for the next 4 to 5 yrs i guess... Going to Arsenal probably faster chance...

really???
look at beloved theo walcott
well, I think nowsdays, managers are more willing to get youths than to let them go.
but they know they taking a big gamble.
most times, these young players have not demonstrated they can perform at the highest level.
for wenger and saf, they protect the youths and in that, they are expert in this.
well, maybe, Ramsey is treated better, he feels he can fit into a United Nations team better and he likes the bright lights of London better..
so off he goes..
not end of the world.
