Patrice Evra expects to sign a new contract with Manchester United next week.
The talented left back joined the Old Trafford outfit in January 2006, following his mentor Didier Deschamps’ departure from the Principality.
It took the Frenchman six months to settle to life in The Premier League, and the champion has now become a key figure for Sir Alex Ferguson, a manager he gets on very well with.
Evra is waiting in the wings to commit his future to The Red Devils, and he appears to be very optimistic ahead of talks between his agent and his employer next week.
“The ball is in their camp,” Evra told reports about his new contract.
“One year is remaining on my contract, meetings are planned next week.
“Everything will be fine.
“They know what I want, the ball is in their court.”
