The Ecuador winger has blossomed into one of the brightest young
talents in the Premiership, which has prompted rumours of firm interest
from the likes of Barcelona and United.
“I have not been told anything about it,” he insisted. "I never spoke with Manchester United."
When
pressed on whether he would be at Wigan next year, the 22-year-old
replied: “Yes, I think so. It seems that they want me to stay one more
year.
“I feel good to be able to play in The Premier League," he
added, before admitting that he doesn't plan to stay at Wigan forever.
“I hope this will help me play for a bigger team. If it does not happen this year, maybe next year," he concluded.
