The Frenchman's form over the last two seasons has been exceptional and he has established himself as the best left-back in the Premier League. But despite the club indicating in January that they wanted to open talks, Evra is still sweating on a new deal.
The former Monaco player is clearly getting a little worried after the club agreed contracts with seven senior players last month including Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown and Michael Carrick.
"My agent is speaking to the club. There has been one meeting and nothing since. "I have one year left. The ball is in United's court," said Evra. "My job was to concentrate on winning the title and I have done it.
"Now my job is to concentrate on winning the Champions League. Let's see what happens after that. "It was very important for me to win the league, not because of my new contract but to prove that last season was not an accident."
