ALEX FERGUSON has admitted to using a bit of kidology to wind up Bolton at Chelsea.
Manchester United boss Ferguson rapped Gary Megson’s men for celebrating their top-flight survival all week before their trip to Stamford Bridge.
But Bolton, who drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Sunday, went out for just one night.
Fergie said: “I had a little nibble at them.
“I had a text from Gary on Sunday night, saying, ‘Well done, your team talk was brilliant’. I’m very pleased.”

AVRAM GRANT has warned Alex Ferguson: Your mind games will not work in Moscow. Manchester United boss Fergie claimed victory in the war of words before last weekend’s Premier League showdown.
In fact, the cheeky Scot revealed he had a thank-you text from Bolton boss Gary Megson for firing up his players ahead of their 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. But Chelsea chief Grant is determined he and his Blues stars will not fall for the old master’s tricks ahead of the Champions League final next Wednesday.
Fergie has already declared Chelsea have the advantage because they have more experienced players. But Grant rapped: “No team has the advantage and Sir Alex can say whatever he likes. “They want to take the Champions League and we want to take the Champions League but no team has an advantage before the game.”
Grant is feeling upbeat ahead of the match in the Luzhniki Stadium. And he forecasted an historic win for Chelsea. He said: “I’m very confident we can beat United. We beat them two weeks ago at Stamford Bridge.
“I don’t think they’re better than us. In these games small things make the difference. It’s very exciting because it’s the first time my club are in the Champions League final.”
