The 20 year old striker has been in top form for club side Cruzeiro in both the league and the Copa Libertadores, which has alerted the attention of a number of top clubs. Moreno however claims that concrete bids have come in from Manchester United and Shakhtar Donetsk.
“We know that we can dream of winning this trophy” Moreno said.
“So when I received the proposals from United and Shakhtar, I spoke with the directors of the club and we decided to wait until the end of the Copa Libertadores to see what we will do.”
The forward chose to pledge his allegiance to Bolivia, the land of his father, rather than to his country of birth Brazil. He has since gone on to hit two goals in four international appearances.
Moreno has scored eight goals in this season’s Copa Libertadores and is one of the most highly rated young strikers in South America right now.
Sir Alex Ferguson will be in the market for a striker this summer as he looks to bring in reinforcements. Louis Saha has proved injury prone over the past few seasons, while it remains unclear whether Angolan youngster Manucho will be granted the correct paperwork to appear for the Red Devils next season.
