United coach Alex Ferguson is said to be a huge admirer of the former Rangers man, and would love to bring him to Old Trafford.
To that end the Red Devils are alleged to be preparing a bumper four-year contract worth €3.8m (£3m) per annum for the veteran.
However,
the rossoneri are not willing to let the effervescent 30-year-old go
without a fight. Any potential suitor would need to part with a figure
well in excess of the €12.6m (£10m) that has been mooted by the press
so far.
Other interested clubs include Rangers, Real Madrid and Bayern München.
Meanwhile
Clarence Seedorf is said to be considering moves to Bayern or Valencia,
while misfit forward Alberto Gilardino could switch to Sampdoria,
Fiorentina or Roma.
No thanks... save that 10 mill for someone younger at least.

YEA!! Gatuso, pay your own transfer fee please
Later if he and Scholes are placed together in central mid, they fight how?
the way I see it, SAF is going young.
with anderson in the team, he brings energy and fire (no offense to my fav, Scholes).
If they can land the two targets from Portugal, then the whole team average age just went down more...
