A striker was top of most supporter's shopping lists last season and nothing's changed as we draw closer to this summer's transfer window. Fergie has claimed he will be spend again and is looking a young striker with pace to compliment our fleet footed front line.
There are not too many young world class talents available in Europe but here are five names that we think could be in the frame...
1. Karim Benzema (Lyon)
United fans got a taste of his talent when we played Lyon in the
Champions League and Fergie was impressed enough to earmark him as a
future United player, although reports suggest we've recently had a
£22m offer turned down. The 20-year-old may choose to stay in France
for another season but a higher offer might tempt Lyon.
The New: Theirry Henry
2. Klaas Jan Huntelaar (Ajax)
The 24-year-old Dutchman has been on United's radar for some time and
has recently admitted he is ready to leave Ajax in the summer. He's one
of the most prolific strikers in Europe with 32 goals in the Dutch
League and United could be advised to act quickly before watching his
value rise at Euro 2008.
The New: Ruud Van Nistelrooy
3. Sergio Aguero (Athletico Madrid)
The 19-year-old wonderkid was the youngest player to play in the
Argentinian League at the age of 15 before moving to La Liga with
Athletico Madrid for £17m in 2006. He's come into his own this season
scoring 16 goals in one of Europe's most potent partnerships alongside
former United player Diego Forlan, although we'll have to break the
bank to land him.
The New: Diego Maradona
4. Lisandro Lopez
Yet another young player who has learnt his trade at Porto, where we
recently acquired the talents of Anderson. The 25-year-old Argentinian
has scored 22 goals from 24 league games this season and his tall,
powerful presence would give the team an attacking option they've been
missing all season.
The New: Gabriel Batistuta
5. Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
Should the manager decide to buy British then there are few players
with the same pace as Villa's 21-year-old forward. He's only scored
seven league goals but has impressed enough to be nominated for the
Premier League's young player of the year award, although convincing
Martin O'Neil to let him leave will be difficult.
The New: Michael Owen
Let us know who you would like to see playing up front for us next season

Sergio Aguero is good in CM la... Real life neber see him play before... Benzema and Huntelaar are both proven strikers in their own respective leagues...

why leh?
He got pace to buy. And I believe with the right environment, he can blossom.
I have not seen 1-4, unsure how they fit into the teamplay, and pace wise.
