The daily has suggested that the English side are preparing to offer
£8.5 million for the defender and that Barcelona are watching the
situation very closely, and willing to match the offer.
United
seem as if they need some reinforcements in defence after the transfer
of Gabriel Heinze to Real Madrid and the injury problems of Gary
Neville. They are also set to lose Wes Brown, who has been playing on
the right this season.
It was understood that Ferguson wanted to
sign Alan Hutton in the summer, but the Scotsman has been snapped up by
Tottenham, so the attention has turned towards Lahm, who is naturally
right-footed but can play very well at left-back too.
However, the Blaugrana are also interested after rumours suggested that
Gianluca Zambrotta - another player who is right-footed but
accomplished at left-back - will be leaving for Milan in the summer.
Daniel
Alves is also on the agenda, but Barcelona are aware that Sevilla might
slap an unrealistic price tag on him, and Lahm appears to be plan B.
he's too short and small for my liking...well...probably united dun have much choices in the market...
lahm will look good in a manu jersey. he looks like a darker version of vidic.. =/
I dont mind Lahm if he really cost just £8.5 million.
But i would'nt mind if we go for Rafinha also. He looks good going forward.
Rafinha is a replica of daniel alves. I hope man u would snap up both Lahm and Alves/Rafinha.
I was thinking if Fergie snaps up Alan Hutton who is a direct replacement for G. Neville, it would be very good. Oh well.
Lahm oso can score goals... like what he did in 2006... so not bad la
wow.. more reinforcements for next season! :D
