ManUtd.com's midfield pairing poll
has caused quite a stir, with readers of the official Reds website
divided over which players to choose.
Sir Alex Ferguson
again rotated his central midfield against Newcastle at the weekend,
Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher turning in excellent performances.
With Anderson, Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves also at the manager's
disposal, United have an embarrassment of riches in the midfield engine
room.
We asked you which pairing you would choose if you were Reds boss. The response so far has been overwhelming.
Fans
have voted in their thousands on the issue, and the current leaders are
Anderson and Carrick (30%), followed closely by Anderson and Hargreaves
(22%), and Scholes and Anderson (14%).
The fact that 19-year-old
Anderson appears in the top three choices is indicative of the
wonderful debut season he is having, but that there has been such a
varied spread across all the permutations shows just how strong
United's midfield options are.
Anderson, Carrick - 30%
Anderson, Hargreaves - 22%
Scholes, Anderson - 14%
Anderson, Fletcher - 9%
Carrick, Hargreaves - 9%
Scholes, Carrick - 6%
Scholes, Hargreaves - 6%
Carrick, Fletcher - 2%
Hargreaves, Fletcher - 1%
Scholes, Fletcher - 1%
look like anderson can partner most of them
I hope he can be the perfect replacement for scholes!!
Hehe sadly speaking I'm so glad we have so many!
I would say Anderson and Hargreaves is the best combi.. That's cause I can't find fault with both of them.. They have been brilliant and almost flawless.. Carrick is getting better but he needs to be more aggresive and stronger and more hardworking.. Then he will be the complete midfielder ever with his vision and defence splitting passes.. Fletcher is Jack of all Trades but Master of None.. But he is damn hardworking and quite aggresive that's why I like him.. =P Scholes is effectively not required but we can still do with him as a backup.. He still got the great vision and passing ability but too laid back and slow.. Ronaldo Nani are our undisputed wingers but their brilliance on the ball is a trade off for their strength.. A bit weak cos easily tumble.. Maybe too fast haha.. Park Ji Sung is another great workhorse good for backup.. This gotta be the best Man U team I have seen so far.. I wouldn't sell any of these players not even Saha.. unless we can buy better strikers but who else is so good and yet willing to be on the bench? =P
Interesting fact on Hargreaves,
He's started in 3 of the 4 league defeats and was substitute in the other one. :S

Yep not blaming him haha.
West Ham and Bolton losses were from set pieces anyway.
