Chelsea's Obi Mikel: Man Utd tried to wreck my career
Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has reopened his row with Manchester United - claiming the Reds tried to wreck his career.
United eventually sold Mikel to Chelsea after a drawn-out row over his original transfer from Molde and the Nigeria midfielder told the News of the World: "All United were after was money. I didn't see why they wanted to wreck my career.
"The thing is, I didn't know the reason why United had to drag the whole thing out. It didn't make any sense.
"FIFA didn't let me train with either team so I was training alone in my neighbourhood.
"But Chelsea fought for me and when people do things like that, it's difficult to abandon them.
"That's why I'll be at Chelsea for a very long time."

Chelsea's Mikel reveals eyesight scare
Mikel John Obi returned to action against Liverpool after returning from the African Nations Cup and a scare over the loss of his eyesight.
The 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder was poked in the eye in a clash with Anthony Annan during their 2-1 quarter-final defeat against Ghana and he was forced to leave the pitch.

"I couldn't see when I went back on the pitch and I had to go off," admitted Mikel.
"When the ball was coming, I couldn't see it properly. I didn't swap shirts with Michael Essien after the game because of the eye injury.
"It was hurting too much to worry about swapping shirts. It's a bit better but it is still a bit painful. At the time it really hurt.
"I thought I'd lost my eyesight when I was lying on the floor but thankfully everything is fine."
