GORDON BANKS believes England's No1 jersey shoud be in the safe hands of Ben Foster. The Manchester United keeper is still recovering after rupturing a cruciate knee ligament in May. But Banks is confident the 24-year-old will become Fabio Capello's first choice next season.
The World Cup winner said: "We are going through a bad time with keepers. "But the lad I like most — and he's not playing at the moment — is Ben Foster.
"When he was on loan at Watford last season he looked very good. "I hope they can get him fit as soon as possible because I think he's England's next No1."
