Carlos Tevez has seen his two-match international ban reduced to one on appeal.
Tevez was shown a red card for kicking Colombia's Ruben Dario Bustos in an off-the-ball incident during the first half of Argentina's 2-1 defeat in November's 2010 World Cup qualifier in Bogota.
FIFA initially banned the former Boca Juniors star for two matches but have now informed the Argentinian Football Association that it has been reduced to one game, with one suspended for six months.
Sir Alex Ferguson is sure to have mixed emotions about the news as he would no doubt have welcomed Tevez being rested during the next international break.
Indeed Tevez complained of exhaustion when last meeting up with the Argentina squad - returning for the 1-0 defeat at Bolton where he squandered a gilt-edged chance to earn a draw.
