One end feels that Sam should stay and work, while another feels he loses it, and not suitable for this job.
Frankly, I feel that if MUFC were to exert pressure, cracks will show.
yes, the first 15mins, Newcastle will try to raise their game with two ex-MU players and trying to show they can mix it up with the big boys.
but with continuous pressure, quality will show and MUFC should get a comfortable win. -
Trio suffer knocks
Owen Hargreaves and Gary Neville are major doubts for United's Barclays Premier League clash with managerless Newcastle United on Saturday, but Louis Saha has an outside chance of making the squad.
Neville strained his hamstring during his comeback for the Reserves in mid-week, while Hargreaves injured his ribs in training.
Saha also picked up a knock in the build-up to Saturday's tea-time clash, but Sir Alex Ferguson says the striker could be involved against the Geordies.
"Louis got a knock in training, but hopefully he'll be okay - we're going to have a look at him later," revealed the boss at his pre-match press conference.
"Gary's hamstring was a bit tight at half-time in the Reserves game the other night. The weather conditions were appalling and the pitch was very heavy so we decided to take him off. Nevertheless, it was a good start for him.
"Owen got a knock in training in the ribs and is doubtful for Saturday. Chris Eagles is definitely out after picking up a thigh injury also in training. The number of training injuries we've had is amazing. But everyone else is fine." -

"Our form has been decent and after the Christmas period, I felt we were starting to look strong again in the last 20 minutes at Aston Villa. "Our record against Newcastle is outstanding but I can't carry that into the game. "We have to produce the same performance level as we have done in the past and the same energy and hopefully get the job done."

But with Alan Smith, he is not going to let up... this guy has always been a fighter on the pitch. Only pity is he don't have the skill to go along with the aggression otherwise he could be another Rooney... -
Smith Has No Regrets About His Time At Man Utd
Newcastle United's away game against Manchester United on Saturday evening means Alan Smith will be returning to Old Trafford for the first time since his summer transfer.
Asked on Setanta Sport's Friday Football Show about his imminent return to Old Trafford, Smith said: “I’m looking forward to it.
“I had three good years there. Unfortunately I missed a full season with the broken leg.
“It’s not a nice way to finish because I never got a good chance to say goodbye to the fans. Hopefully I will get a chance on Saturday.
“I got to two FA Cup finals, won a Premier League medal. Got to a Carling Cup which I got injured in the process of getting to. I’ve got no regrets whatsoever.
“The fans were brilliant with me and I had a great time there.
“I just felt that after the injury and missing so much football through it, I’m a player that wants to play football.
“After missing a year’s football, I needed to be playing as much as possible. I had a long chat with the manager about that and we came to an agreement that it might be better if I moved on.”
Nevertheless, Smith has no doubt that his time at United was valuable in terms of his career development.
“On the football side, I grew up a hell of a lot as well. I’m maturing. I learned to play in different positions because, most of my time at Manchester United, I played in midfield, changing from the striker I was at Leeds.” -
