SUNDERLAND have captured Manchester United youngster Jonny Evans to aid their relegation fight. The Northern Ireland defender has joined the Black Cats on loan until the end of the season. It is the second time Evans, 20, has joined Sunderland after a similar loan last season.Sunderland boss Roy Keane said: “We agreed with United yesterday for Jonny Evans to come up. "He is here this morning and available for tomorrow, so that’s a start. “Jonny did very well for us last year. I spoke to him yesterday and am looking forward to seeing him.”
Evans is currently on bail after being accused of rape at United's Christmas party last month. Meanwhile, Sunderland have loaned centre-back Stan Varga to Championship side Burnley for a month.
