Striker Carlos Tevez will start against his former club but keeper Edwin van der Sar (groin) is still out.
West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand is pushing for a starting place after two months out with a hamstring injury.
Striker Carlton Cole (illness) should be fit, while Julien Faubert, Matthew Etherington and Lee Bowyer are back in training but not yet available.
