Keane Bows To Man United's Class
Sunderland manager Roy Keane was disappointed with another defeat, but admitted that there was little his side could have done in the face of Manchester United's show of class.
"It is never nice to lose," he told BBC Sport after being handed four of the best by his former team.
"We are disappointed but United's class told in the end.
"Credit to United but we gave soft goals away - especially the first two.
"Their third goal was class but we were a bit unlucky with the penalty [that led to the fourth]. Of course, I am a bit disappointed with the defending.
"The good players will always take advantage of your mistakes and United did that today."
Asked what he said at half time, when his team were trailing 3-0, he admitted that the game was pretty much lost by then, and that it was more about picking up some positives.
"Of course, it was going to be very hard to come back and win 4-3, but you hope that the players keep it together and keep going, and the fans played a huge part in that," he added.
"I give my players credit for that. They kept going and at least made their keeper make one or two saves in the second half." -

Park makes a positive return
Ji-sung Park gave United another Boxing Day boost when he made his first appearance since injuring his knee against Blackburn Rovers in March.
The South Korean put the misery of almost nine months on the sidelines behind him when he came on for Cristiano Ronaldo in the Reds' 4-0 win at Sunderland.
Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted to see Ji back on the pitch, especially at this busy time of the year.
"I was delighted with Ji-sung Park's performance," United boss Sir Alex told MUTV.
"It was an important day for him. He came on and got more than half an hour under his belt so we are all pleased with him."
Park looked his usual busy self on the right side of midfield and showed no signs of his extended absence.
"He's a natural mover," the manager said. "When his team passes the ball he moves – he's always had a great talent for that and today was another great example of that. He kept moving, he kept passing, he kept running behind the Sunderland defence. He gave us a lot of energy today and it was good to see." -

Saha Hails 'Unbelievable' Rooney
After grabbing a brace in Manchester United's 4-0 rout at Sunderland, Louis Saha was full of praise for his strike partner Wayne Rooney.
"Wayne was unbelievable, for his movement and the way he controlled the game for us," he gushed. "It was a winning performance.
"Going into an atmosphere like the one you can have at Sunderland's stadium, it was very important to make a good start. That's what we did and I think we scored at good moments. I think we were very professional.
"I needed to get back to the basics as a striker which is obviously scoring goals, I had a couple of chances today and it's good to be on the scoresheet."
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson was understandably happy for his number 9, saying of his goals: "They will do his confidence the world of good, as will completing the full 90 minutes. I thought he and Wayne linked well. Our front players were a real threat today." -
