Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has announced that Park Ji-sung is set to end his nine-month injury lay-off over the Christmas period.
The South Korean hasnÂ’t played in the Premier League since sustaining a knee injury against Blackburn Rovers on March 31.
After extensive surgery, the 26 year-old is fit and ready to return over the fixture-packed festive period.
"His training has been excellent in the last few weeks, well beyond what we expected," Ferguson told reporters.
"When players have been out for nine months you are waiting for a slow recovery in some cases.
"But since he has come back in amongst the players he has been terrific so he will take part in the Christmas games. Which one depends on a lot of things, of course."
